Event Information

Border War began in the Shire of Bordescros in February 1999, and has only not be held on 3 occasions, 2 of those being Covid.  This is the first year that it has not be held in February, as it has become to hot to make the event enjoyable.

In 2026 there will be much War, Melees, Armoured combat, Rapier, Combat and Target Archery.  Arts and Sciences are also covered, with categories that fit in with each year’s theme.   This year the theme is the centuries of warfare that took place in the lands surrounding the English/(now)Scotland borders.   There were many players in these wars ranging from Celts, Picts, Scots, Norse, English and the various Reivers and Border Lords.

The weather is likely to be quite cool (4 to 12 degrees average) but the dorms are warm, and there is a wonderful, large stone open fireplace in main hall.   So bring all the furs, wools and velvets that you have and enjoy them in the right climate.
